And here’s the best part: you don’t need any equipment. So why not give golf a shot?
What do you need? Simple:
- A willingness to give it a try
- A desire to join a warm and inclusive community
Players must be registered as blind or visually impaired with their local authorities (B1, B2, B3, or B4).
But you don’t need:
- Your own equipment
- Golf experience
- Membership at a golf club
But hey, if you’ve dabbled in any of the above, that’s fantastic!
Blind Golf Scotland boasts five vibrant districts, each offering events throughout Scotland. Plus, there are opportunities to compete worldwide, from Australia to Canada, and beyond. Gain merit points at domestic events and vie for a spot on the Scotland team in thrilling Ryder Cup-style competitions against Ireland and/or England & Wales.
Not feeling competitive? No worries! Members can enjoy golf in a more relaxed manner and participate as a player/guide in all Scottish calendar events.

Prospective members and guides are encouraged to attend any event to witness Blind Golf Scotland in action. Socializing at the 19th hole is a fantastic way to forge new friendships and encourage those who may feel golf is out of reach to get back in the swing of things, both physically and socially.
